The musée d'art et d'histoire du Judaisme (mahJ) in Paris is the only Jewish museum in Europe to maintain an “international” collection, with objects from France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Central and Eastern Europe, the Levant and the Maghreb. Through its diversity, this collection reflects the syncretism of regional contexts, but also the continuity of two millennia of diasporic history, having profoundly influenced the cultures of Europe and the Mediterranean. It also bears witness to this living culture, deeply embedded in European history.
The Pro mahJ Foundation's sole mission is to support the museum by raising funds specifically earmarked for enriching its collections, financing its exhibitions and promoting its activities.
Each year, the mahJ organizes two major exhibitions to showcase works and artists that are sometimes little-known, but emblematic of the intellectual and artistic careers of the Jews who converged on France.
The Pro mahJ Foundation has set itself the goal of raising $100,000 to enrich the museum's collections and finance its exhibitions.
Support the mahJ's actions and help pass on this history!
