FAQ

How long does Every.org take to get set up?

Once you’re an admin you have everything at your fingertips to get started when you want to. It takes 1-2 business days to review and approve admin requests.‍

Do you support charities outside of the United States?

For us to be able to make grants to international (non-US) charities, they must either have a US entity with a 501(c)(3) status, a US fiscal sponsor, or an Equivalency Determination (ED).  An ED through NGOSource costs $2500 USD for a new organization or $950 for a renewal. If you have an existing active NGOSource ED with another grantor, it is $250. These prices are up to date as of September 27th, 2022. For details on membership and pricing: https://www.ngosource.org/getting-started/pricing and for general information visit: https://www.ngosource.org/how-an-ed-works.

We will send you an invoice for the cost of the ED and kindly request payment before we kick off the process. This process can take 8-9 weeks for a new organization, or 4-6 weeks for a renewal, depending on the responsiveness of your organization to NGOSource's requests.

Can donors give in memory of someone?

There is field where donors can write a private note to the nonprofit along with their donation. Donors often use this to designate their donation in memory or honor of someone. You will see these notes in the donation information on your nonprofit dashboard.

I want to do something more customized. Do you have an API?

We sure do! You can learn more about our API’s functionality by checking out the documentation

How does using Every.org reduce regulatory risk?

Every.org automatically provides a tax-deductible receipt for all donations processed through us, including cryptocurrency and stock donations.

By using Every.org as the 501(c)(3) intermediary for donations of assets such as cryptocurrency and stocks, nonprofits don't have to take custody of those assets. Instead, Every.org sends cash grants to nonprofits, allowing them to use their existing processes and operations, rather than figuring out all the risks and considerations that come with taking those donations directly or needing to update their gift acceptance policy.

Every.org also handles filing IRS Form 8282 and signing Form 8283 for asset donations and keeping up with regulations.

Our nonprofit accountants/bookkeepers at the Jitasa Group follow best practices including US GAAP guidelines. We also undergo an annual financial audit by a third party auditor. Our latest 990 and audit report is available here. Our EIN is 61-1913297 and our address is:
Every.org
58 West Portal Ave #781
San Francisco, CA 94127

Every.org is registered in all 50 states to solicit for charitable donations.
