There is an enormous demand for our courses. Changing Lanes has had to add new time slots to the existing two courses to keep up with the demand.
Our courses are popular because they're free and teach in-demand skills such as notary studies and property management. There are many real estate management companies in New York City and they need managers to make sure their buildings are up-to-code, clean, and to make sure tenants are paying their dues. Property managers in New York City do not need a high school degree and in fact, they can have a criminal record, as our founder, John Davis has found from his own experience. Property managers can make as much as $190,000 a year and the profession is expected to grow 7% by 2028.
The goal of Changing Lanes is to help low-income, at-risk, and formerly incarcerated individuals turn their lives around to become indispensable employees. To do that, we need to teach all the skills they will need to work in property management. Help us in our goal, by donating to this project to add another course to Changing Lanes' curriculum.
