The Eyak Preservation Council (EPC)'s mission is to honor Eyak heritage and to conserve wild salmon culture and habitat through education, awareness and the promotion of sustainable life ways for all peoples. 

EPC, based in Cordova, Alaska, is a 501c3 grassroots environmental and social change organization dedicated to promoting regenerative communities and protecting and preserving wild salmon habitat and Indigenous cultures throughout Prince William Sound and the Copper River watershed. For over 32 years, EPC has been actively building grassroots campaigns that honor Eyak heritage and present pathways for humans to live in symbiosis with the planet.

The Eyak people, Indigenous to Alaska, embody life-giving practices that honor Mother Earth. For 3,500 years, the Eyak people (one of the many Athabaskan tribes in Alaska) have been stewards of aanguu’nAw, the Copper River Delta. Eyak language revitalization and cultural preservation are critical components of EPC's work.
