Roots Connected Inc is a nonprofit organization focused on education. It received its nonprofit status in 2019. 

Roots ConnectED is the only training for educators that teaches the practical skills of community building and critical thinking needed for creating intentionally integrated and inclusive school communities. It is for anyone who seeks ways to build community and connection across lines of differences in an era of racial and economic divisiveness.

We are a national professional development organization committed to supporting school communities through Coaching, Institutes, and Workshops.

A Roots ConnectED community is grounded in anti-bias education. Our approach is centered in notions of identity and inclusion, and uses community building, critical literacy, Universal Design for Learning, representation, and social action to create growth and change in a school community as evidenced by a shift in culture and attitudes and deepened work through curriculum, instruction and professional development.

Roots ConnectED gives educators the tools to encourage deep connection among children not despite of their differences, but through honoring them. We know this work is hard and on-going and we value the process. We also believe that, to do this work well, we must approach it with love, patience, and a commitment to ongoing work.

FFI is an abolitionist org working to end immigration detention by following the leadership of detained immigrants. 

Freedom for Immigrants is an abolitionist organization that envisions a world without prisons or cages of any kind. We work to abolish immigration incarceration, recognizing we are part of a broader movement fighting for our freedom at the intersection of mass incarceration, immigration enforcement, and the deprivation of Black, brown, and Indigenous people’s autonomy. To empower our communities, we organize alongside and follow the leadership of currently and formerly incarcerated immigrants. We recognize our work is necessarily tied to broader efforts to eradicate white supremacy and the systems that sustain oppression. By cultivating the community-centered solutions that breathe life into our collective liberation, we actively build a future in which all people can move freely and thrive.
