digitalundivided, founded in 2012, is a leading nonprofit organization focused on disrupting systemic inequities in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through the use of data, innovative programs, intentional networks, and strategic advocacy, it builds equitable pathways to women founders, particularly for women of color, and addresses long-standing barriers to success in entrepreneurship.

One of the organization’s most influential contributions has been its research, notably the groundbreaking ProjectDiane report, which was the first to highlight the state of Black and Latina women founders. This historic research continues to drive digitalundivided’s expanded efforts, which have sparked global conversations on inclusion and equity in entrepreneurship.

digitalundivided runs several key programs—START, BIG Pre-Accelerator, BREAKTHROUGH, Do You Fellowship, and the New C-Suite—that provide essential resources, advisory services, and investments to support founders throughout their entrepreneurial journeys. While based in the U.S., its reach and impact have extended globally, resonating with over 250,000 people through its extensive ecosystem and over $750.000 in grants distributed to support women-led businesses.

The organization’s mission centers on breaking down entrenched systemic inequities in entrepreneurship, using a multipronged approach that includes data-driven programming, a supportive network of mentors and allies, and a commitment to systemic change. With more than a decade of experience, it has directly served over 1,500 founders and continues to foster economic independence and resilience through its ongoing work.

In the next three years, digitalundivided aims to expand its influence even further. Its goal is to triple its network of global capital partners, integrate its entrepreneurs into deal flows, and drive a 30% increase in women founders engaged in its programs. The organization has also invested in professional development and infrastructure to deliver more holistic support for founders, leveraging insights from its research to meet the needs of an evolving entrepreneurial landscape.

Through its hybrid approach—combining virtual accessibility with in-person engagement—digitalundivided remains at the forefront of inclusive innovation. In the turbulent times of the 2020 global COVID-19 pandemic, an inspiring vision took root in the mind of Dr. Raven Baxter. She dreamt of a space where scientific dialogue could be democratized, where barriers to understanding could be dismantled. This dream crystallized as STEMbassy, a weekly live TV series that assembled a dynamic team of scientists, sparking enlightening discussions on the intersection of science and society with a virtual audience.

As the reach and impact of STEMbassy unfolded, Dr. Baxter recognized the potential for something larger. This recognition led to the evolution of her initial idea into a more expansive vision: The Science Haven.

The Science Haven is a monumental leap forward. It represents a broader, more inclusive gateway to the universe of science, passionately dedicated to making science engaging, meaningful, and accessible for everyone, irrespective of their background or prior experiences.

Our curated programs, including the Science Communication Fellowship, Public Lecture Series, and Citizen Science Initiative, provide scientifically robust, friendly, and comprehensive resources to all. One significant project, the Stellar Dreams initiative, promotes inclusivity in astronomy education by gifting 100 telescopes to Black families across the United States, opening up the night sky to new perspectives.
