Wakisa Ministries is dedicated to supporting young women facing unwanted pregnancies in Uganda. Since 2005, our ministry has provided a safe and compassionate environment for pregnant teenagers who have been traumatized, rejected, and abandoned. Through Christian counseling, vocational training, and education, we empower these young mothers to build brighter futures for themselves and their children.

**Why This Matters** 

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a surge in teenage pregnancies, school dropouts, and abandonment by families, putting many young mothers at risk of never returning to education. Public health facilities are overcrowded and ill-equipped to meet the unique needs of these young mothers, resulting in inadequate care and increased risks of complications during childbirth.

**Who Will Benefit**

Your support will help us complete the Wakisa Health Center's Maternity Unit, providing safe, high-quality care for young mothers and their newborns. This birthing center will offer a calm, supportive environment where young mothers receive personal attention from trained midwives, child development training, and essential health services.
