I gave because the foundation has made an impact on the lives of so many young people and it gives me great joy to see their growth.

Showing kids more so they want more. The Blues Babe Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded by Jill Scott based in Philly. 

The Blues Babe Foundation is a North Philadelphia based launch pad for young brilliance. Our programs are rooted in cultivating academic and artistic success in youth coming from the most underserved communities of North Philadelphia and Camden.  

Our flagship program, Camp Jill Scott, has served over 300 students entering 4th - 7th grade.  It is a leadership development camp created in 2009 to help scholars from North Philadelphia venture outside of their neighborhoods, discover their hidden talents and learn how they can use them to create new pathways for growth. 

Our young scholars need our support now more than ever! With your contribution we can increase our camp size; and eventually return to in person with an overnight component so the kids can really have a vacation, as well as parents. We can help make sure elementary school libraries are open on a consistent basis. We can help the young people dedicated to education get their books, pay some dorm fees, assist with tuition. We can’t do everything, but together we can do something special.
